Two current certificates document our supply chain: the EHZ halal certificate for the slaughterhouse — and the HQC certificate of our meat wholesaler Afes. On top of that, the certificates of the source plants Afes buys from — and, in the archive, the earlier documents.
Our wholesaler Afes sources its poultry from halal-certified slaughtering and processing plants — Heijs, Storteboom and the Plukon Food Group. We've put their current certificates right here too.

Yes. All of our chicken comes from halal-compliant slaughter. Two current certificates document this: the EHZ halal certificate for the slaughterhouse Plukon Brenz GmbH and the HQC halal certificate of our meat wholesaler Afes GmbH — valid until 20.07.2027.
Our wholesaler Afes sources its poultry from halal-certified slaughtering and processing plants — Heijs, Storteboom and the Plukon Food Group. The slaughterhouse Plukon Brenz GmbH is certified by the EHZ.
The certificate for the slaughterhouse is issued by the Europäisches Halal Zertifizierungsinstitut (EHZ), based in Cologne (carrier institute: Islamische Gemeinschaft Millî Görüş (IGMG)), and is renewed annually — currently valid until 03.06.2027. Our meat wholesaler Afes GmbH (Berlin) is certified by Halal Quality Control (HQC) Germany GmbH as a cutting plant for red and poultry meat — its poultry comes from halal-compliant slaughter, from operations such as Heijs, Storteboom and Plukon Food Group. You'll find their halal certificates on this page too.
Open the documents as PDFs: the EHZ certificate carries a QR code (“Online Check”) and the register no. 49-001-0058-0626, which you can request directly from the EHZ (info@eurohalal.eu). The HQC certificate likewise carries a QR code (“Scan to verify”) and the certificate no. DE10410402629 — verifiable with Halal Quality Control Germany GmbH (info@halalquality.de).
For transparency: the certificates are renewed every year. In the archive you'll find expired and replaced documents — so you can see our supply chain has been certified all along, not just since yesterday.
