It’s official: Nhas City Chicken has opened its first store in Cologne. A new chapter starts here — and our first big step beyond Berlin.

The Nhas City Chicken story started back in 1993 in Lebanon and ran through Sonnenallee in Berlin. Now, for the first time, it reaches North Rhine-Westphalia. Something that’s grown over the years and pulled in a bigger community than ever finally gets a new home in Cologne.

And of course we’re bringing the dishes Nhas City Chicken is known for: our Hähnchen Spezial, Garlic Parmesan Wings & Bites and all our flavours. Freshly made, 100% halal and exactly how you know it from our Berlin stores.

Cologne got an early taste.

A few days before opening, the first guests had already tried it: footballer Max Kruse, rapper Summer Cem and food YouTuber BigM, who took on a live challenge right away — six whole chickens in one hour. Plus plenty of other food creators who came by for a first look.

Opening day was no quieter. Alongside our community, musicians Farid Bang and Eko Fresh had announced their visit, as well as more streamers and YouTube names.

The first welcome gift arrived too: Said El Mala of 1. FC Köln left us a signed shirt.

For founder Omar Nhas, Cologne is more than just another store — it is the first big step out of Berlin:

I love Cologne and I’m happy that our first store outside my home city has opened here. Our goal stays the same: everyone should get the chance to try our chicken.

The opening in Cologne is the start of the next chapter for Nhas City Chicken — and we can’t wait to write it together with this city.
